Cole Haan x Theophilus London

Founded upon the principles of “making good goods, and nothing but good goods,” the Cole Haan brand has come to represent elegant simplicity and practical style. To help communicate its heritage in classic, quality crafted footwear and to further emphasize its place in an increasingly high-style focused culture, Cole Haan collaborated on a special footwear release with native Brooklyn musician Theophilus London. The result of this creative partnership was a beautiful blue suede buck incorporating some of Nike’s sports performance comfort into its electric blue soles. A limited edition 10” vinyl of London’s cover of Nat King Cole’s “Calypso Blues” completed the exclusive set.
12ozProphet Studio was commissioned to document some of the milestones of this collaboration through a candid photo series and a short recap video of the product launch at its flagship store in New York City’s Soho. We were also given the opportunity to produce all the product photography for the official release and editorial roll out. Maintaining Cole Haan’s “elegant simplicity and practical style” as the creative direction for this project, the end result was a capsule of media assets that helped them garner high praise from all the style blogs and fashion magazines.
